Just becasue I am this tribes creator and moderator does not mean I know everything ;-)
I am trying do some homework on large corporations that have a Central Soucing Team/function that does the bulk of the actual "Sourcing" of candidates for business aligned recruiters or directly to Hiring Managers. Can anyone throw out comapies they know that re doing this and if it is sucessful, or not OR any other useful data
thanks

Re: I need help finding info pls....
Thu, September 16, 2004 - 9:57 AMRob,
Volkswagen of America, Audi of America, and Bentley Motors does their own sourcing now. We started this here three years ago with a good amount of success. We work directly with our field management and corporate management. We work through the entire process with the hiring managers from cradle to grave. We post, prescreen, submit,schedule, interview, and extend final offers.
What other information would you like? Im the person who implemented all of our systems including ATS, Structured Behavior Based Interviewing, Assessments, drugscreen, physical, and background checks. We outsource some of it.

Re: I need help finding info pls....
Fri, September 17, 2004 - 7:04 AMJohn - Thanks for jumping in on this. Couple of qualifying questions. Is the structure of Volkswagen of America, Audi of America, and Bentley Motors a sourcing team that just finds the candidates through different sourcing mediums (own ATS, networking, job boards, Google, etc) and then pass on those candidates to Business Aligned recruiters or directly to the hiring managers?....I am looking for companies that have this type of structure vs recruiting teams that do the soups to nuts (Account management, offers, etc).....Most interested to find out about teams that stricly focus on the front end (candidate generation/sourcing).
Any supportive data;
1) how these teams are structurred
2) What are their success factors
3) Failure factors
4) Key learnigs
5) SLA for how the interact with the Business Aligned recruiters or Hiring Managers
6) Overall strategy, goals and objectives
7) Leadership who runs these teams
8) Anything else that might be insightful
Many thanks
